TourTurf® Respond® Extreme Fine Turf Enhancer (FTE) is a new, innovative concept for sustainable turfgrass management. The product is an advanced wetting agent which provides both superior traditional wetting agent benefits such as water conservation, firm playing surfaces and dry patch management, and at the same time helps to increase bent and fescue dominance in turfgrass swards.
Respond® Extreme FTE has been scientifically formulated through three years of university research to achieve the optimum chemical balance between a penetrant and a water conservation agent.
The use of the new premium wetting agent will give fine turf species the upper hand against Poa annua invasion. The product will improve the ability of the desired turfgrass species to germinate more successfully, grow stronger roots and grow more evenly throughout the sward.
It is now possible to achieve and maintain the highest possible standards with Respond® Extreme Fine Turf Enhancer (FTE), in which finer turfgrass species dominate and Poa annua is naturally suppressed. On the basis of the university research, it may be possible to increase the finer turf species by up to 61% and reduce Poa annua dominance by up to 71%.
Retain the fine turfgrass species:
A challenging issue for turfgrass managers is the loss of bent grass (Agrostis) and fine fescues (Festuca) over time to meadow grasses (Poa spp.) and perennial ryegrass (Lolium perenne) which increase in quantity, destroying the quality of putting surfaces.
Respond® Extreme (FTE) is an effective method of turfgrass sward modification. The product ensures that bents and fescues are continuously able to access moisture, thereby stimulating greater germination, increased root hair formation and enhanced survivability and sward dominance. At the same time, weed seeds are no longer favoured by product application and are outcompeted by fine turfgrass species
