Used for biodegradation of thatch in sports turf
TourTurf® Thatch-Less® Enzyme Thatch Degrader (ETD) is a biological activator for more rapid thatch degradation, which contains 15% cellulase enzymes (>250 UA/g), 2% plant sugar, 2% wetting agent, 5% seaweed and 4 different cellulase producing microorganisms (5×109 cfu/ml).
This combination very effectively reduces the amount of residual organic matter (thatch) in sports turf, which typically consists of 25% lignin and 75% cellulose or hemicellulose.
Owing to other performance pressures on sportsturf, it is difficult to get components of the thatch layers degraded easily in the root zone without this extra biological input from ETD.
The combination of readily active enzymes and steadily performing microorganisms in this bio-product more effectively degrades the thatch to plant nutrients, sugars and soil humus. The 4 beneficial Bacillus strains that make up the ‘core consortia’ of microorganisms in the product are B. subtilis, B. licheniformis, B. amyloliquefaciens and B. pumilus.
This unique and highly effective biological solution was developed for thatch control in sportsturf by Danish and British scientists, exclusively for E. Marker A/S.
Thatch-Less® is available worldwide, only through E. Marker A/S and we have manufactured the product since 2018 based on demand from customers to provide the best possible product for organic matter control.
Thatch-Less® is a registered trademark belonging to E. Marker A/S.
Mix 10 L enzyme product with 500 L of water for the treatment of 1 Ha. Apply 4 times at 10 days intervals.
Ensure that the organic matter is always under control by continual use of the product at 14-28 days intervals. Be sure to continue watering after applications.
The product can be applied from May to September at temperatures above 15-20 degrees Celsius.
